(BIVN) – The Experience Volcano Festival is underway throughout the entire Volcano area.

This 1st annual Experience Volcano Festival features over 50 events that let you explore and get a full taste of everything that Volcano has to offer! Throughout the event you can enjoy live music, artists in action, walks and tours, cultural demonstrations, youth and ‘ohana activities, restaurant specials, and much more!
Almost all events are free of charge. The festival features over 13 musicians including The Brown Boys, Randy Lorenzo, Lito Arkangel, Ola Tripp Jr, Keoki Kahumoku, Makana Kamahele and others!
In addition to the many events during the festival, take some time to visit dozens of festival vendors featuring fine artwork, custom clothing, local grinds, artesian pet treats, fine jewelry, local plants, a petting zoo, local organizations & more!
Start each day of the festival by experiencing a traditional Hawaiian oli (chant). During the festival watch hula and participate in ‘Ohe Kāpala (Hawaiian stamping), poi pounding and lei making.
Watch artists in action throughout the Volcano Area! At 2400 Fahrenheit Glass Studio watch a glass blowing demonstration. The Volcano Art Center and Volcano Garden Arts will be featuring The Art Of Bonsai, Raku Demos, Wheel Throwing, Ceramic Mask Making, Paper Batik, African Pottery Hand Building, Flame-working and much more! Many of the restaurants in the Volcano Area will be offering festival specials. Some dining options include: Volcano chimichurri on fish with ginger ridge farms’ bok choy & roasted local root vegetables, Hawaiian Plates, Poke Nachos, Mesquite Pulled Pork Sliders on Hawaiian Sweetbread, Ahi Poke, BBQ Chicken N’ Ribs, Wood Fired Duck Breast and cocktail specials at most locations.
