(BIVN) – Following another tense day on the Mauna Kea Access Road that ended without any arrests, Hawaiʻi’s law enforcement chief took questions about the ongoing operation.
Jason Redulla, the Chief of the Hawaiʻi Department of Land and Natural Resources’ Division of Conservation and Resources Enforcement Unit, spoke to media in 11-minute press conference Tuesday, day two of the scheduled start of construction of the Thirty Meter Telescope.
Law enforcement is working to ensure safe passage for construction crews to travel up the Mauna Kea Access Road to the summit where the TMT observatory is planned to be built.
