(BIVN) – Senators sitting on the Committee on Energy and Natural Resources questioned Trump administration officials on Tuesday about a budget proposal to zero out funding for the Land and Water Conservation Fund, or LWCF.
The full committee hearing held to review the LWCF included included U.S. Senator from Hawaiʻi, Mazie Hirono.
The senators noted that the 2019 lands package contained a provision to permanently authorize LWCF’s collection and deposit functions.
