(BIVN) – Tuesday’s Mauna Kea Management Board meeting – the first one held since May 2018 – began with a report from Office of Mauna Kea Management director Stephanie Nagata.
Nagata gave updates on the various Hawaiʻi Supreme Court cases involving the Thirty Meter Telescope, as well as the lawsuit filed by the Office of Hawaiian Affairs.
Nagata also provided an update on the Mauna Kea Visitor Information Station parking improvements, and gave a presentation on visitation to Hale Pohaku.
After her presentation, the board heard from Dwight Vicente, who raised concerns over jurisdiction.
That was followed by a short update on Kahu Kū Mauna from Chad Kālepa Baybayan.
