(BIVN) – A shark sighting has led to the closure of a North Kona beach on Saturday morning.
According to a 10 a.m. “Shark Sighting and Shoreline Closure” message from Hawaiʻi County Civil Defense, the Hawaiʻi County Fire Department reported a shark was sighted this morning off Kikauna Point near Kukio Bay.
As a precaution, the Kukio Bay shoreline area has been closed for the remainder of today, officials say.
