(BIVN) – The response to the ongoing eruption of Kilauea Volcano and the future of astronomy on Mauna Kea were some of the topics discussed by the four top candidates for Hawaii governor, during a public forum in Kona Friday evening.
Participants included two Democrats, Governor David Ige and U.S. Representative Colleen Hanabusa, as well as two Republicans: John Carroll and Rep. Andria Tupola.
The forum was moderated by Sherry Bracken, of Mahalo Broadcasting and Hawaii Public Radio.
The forum also featured candidates for Lieutenant Governor. Big Island Video News will have that full video shortly.
