(BIVN) – A crowd gathered on Saturday afternoon at the Pahoa Neighborhood Facility for Representative Joy San Buenaventura’s “community forum to discuss crime and drug abuse in Puna and proposed bills for the 2018 Legislative session.”
Various law enforcement officials and community organizations attended the meeting, including Hawaii County Police officers Davy Kamalii and Jeremy Kubojiri of the Puna Patrol Division, and Hawaii County Prosecuting Attorney Mitch Roth, both seen in the videos above.
Also scheduled to speak that day: Brandee Menino of HOPE Services, Dr. Hannah Preston-Pita of the Big Island Substance Abuse Council, Kat Brady of the Community Alliance on Prisons, and different Neighborhood Watch for Puna Subdivisions.
