(BIVN) – On January 16, Pahoa lost a beloved landmark in town, when the Akebono Theater and Luqui’s restaurant burned to the ground in the early morning hours.
The Puna village was devastated. The incident ignited a discussion over vagrancy in Pahoa’s streets.
Meanwhile, the police officers who responded to the fire were called heroes.
