(BIVN) – A Hilo beach park has been closed as a High Surf Advisory continues into Monday for north-facing shores of Hawaii Island.
The gates were closed this morning at Onekahakaha Beach Park. The Hawaii County Parks and Recreation Department says the popular Keaukaha-area beach park will be closed today due to the high surf and debris cleanup.
A better view of the rolling sea was available just down the road at James Kealoha Beach Park, aka 4-Miles.
Onekahakaha is scheduled to open for normal operating hours tomorrow, officials say.
