(BIVN) – During a public meeting held Monday night in Keaukaha, the Department of Hawaiian Home Lands introduced beneficiaries to a new plan to Subsistence Agriculture Lots for homesteaders in Honomū.
The 766 acres in Honomū, easily accessible via Highway 220 on the way to Akaka Falls State Park, will be the first new agricultural Hawaiian homestead community in almost 20 years, DHHL says.
Another meeting is planned for the Honomū community on Monday, October 23, 2017 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Honomū Gym.
