(BIVN) – The Hawaii County Council wants state lawmakers to be more transparent.
The Council’s Governmental Relations and Economic Development Committee advanced a resolution requesting the state legislature make itself subject to the Sunshine Law.
Unlike the County Council, state legislators are exempt from the open meeting requirements and sanctions.
