(BIVN) – A fast moving brush fire spread over 20-acres of vacant land in Pāpa’aloa on Tuesday.
Firefighters responded to the alarm at 10:43 a.m., and arrived on the scene of a rapidly spreading brush fire in 10 to 12 foot tall grass on Pāpa’aloa Road at the Ochiro Road intersection.
“Gusty trade winds at 25-35 mph rapidly spread fire to approx 20 acres,” a fire dispatch reads. “Fire is under control and will be monitored throughout the night by HFD personnel.”
No injuries or evacuations were reported. The cause of the fire is unknown.
