(BIVN) – Dexter Kaiama, the attorney representing KAHEA: The Hawaiian-Environmental Alliance in the Thirty Meter Telescope contested case hearing, made a final, oral argument on Wednesday in Hilo before the land board.
The KAHEA organization is one of the original petitioners to challenge the University of Hawaii’s conservation district use application that would allow the TMT observatory to be built on Mauna Kea.
The day-long hearing concluded with no decision on the UH application for the CDUP. The Hawaii Board of Land and Natural Resources will issue its decision at a later date.
