(BIVN) – The county-operated Mauna Kea Recreation Area comfort stations will be closed this Monday in order to do maintenance on water lines.
The Hawai‘i County Department of Parks and Recreation announced the closure in a media release issued Friday. The comfort stations will be closed on Monday, May 22, 2017 from 6:00 am – 3:30 pm.
“The Contractor will be conducting maintenance of the water lines within the park,” county officials wrote. “Portable toilets will be provided while the maintenance work is being done.”
“The Department and the Contractor appreciate the public’s assistance and understanding,” the county said.
