NORTH KOHALA – The Hawaii County Police say the Akoni Pule Highway is ow open.
Police issued an alert message via their Nixle account Tuesday morning at 2:55 a.m., reporting the road closure in both directions on highway 270 near Lapakahi State Park is cancelled. Both lanes are now open.
Hawaii County Civil Defense also issued a message:
