HILO, Hawaii (BIVN) - The work to clean up the popular Japanese garden on Banyan Drive continues, as special events are held through-out 2017.

HILO, Hawaii – In the video above, K.T. Cannon-Eger talks about the pond cleaning held on Saturday, Feb. 11, and how its part of the greater effort to kokua the Lili’uokalani Gardens on Banyan Drive.

The popular public gardens celebrates its centennial this year. A successful Art Stroll was already held on Banyan Drive in January as part of the soecial series of events scheduled for 2017.
