HILO, Hawaii – On the eve of the general election on Monday afternoon, supporters of presidential hopeful Donald Trump held a sign waving event along Highway 11 fronting Waiakea Center.
The town of Hilo on Hawaii Island is a Democratic Party stronghold, but there are some Republicans.
During the event, we interviewed Trump boosters Elaine Latimer of Kurtistown and Sibi Hoke of Hilo about what it has been like to display their support of the GOP candidate during this divisive election season.

Roughly 20 Trump supporters stood by the highway in Hilo to show support for their presidential candidate on Monday.
