HILO, Hawaii – On Wednesday, the Banyan Drive Hawaii Redevelopment Agency took a look at new conceptual maps showing future planning scenarios at the Hilo resort area.
The maps are refined versions of previously released renderings. They were unveiled at a public meeting at the Aupuni Conference Center. A crowd of about 20 businesspersons and residents were in attendance.
The Banyan Drive Hawaii Redevelopment Agency was created in April 2016 “to bring about a revitalization and redevelopment of properties along Banyan Drive on the Waiakea peninsula where hotel, resort, commercial and public uses may coexist compatibly.”
