HONOKA’A, Hawaii – The public joined in a Hamakua Community Development Plan focused discussion on Waipiʻo Valley on May 18 in Honoka’a.
Participants gathered in a North Hawaii Education and Research Center conference room to go over the sections of the draft plan that prioritizes “protecting Waipiʻo Valley as a wahi pana, focusing on protecting natural ecosystems, viewsheds, streams, managing responsible access, and perpetuating Hawaiian culture.” (draft CDP)
Hawaii County planner LeAna Gloor led the discussion.
