HILO, Hawaii – The wallet and cell phone of a 27-year-old Hilo man was taken following an alleged assault in Downtown Hilo on Monday morning, May 2nd.
Hawaii County police are investigating the robbery that took place at t 6:15 a.m. near the corner of Keawe Street and Haili Street.
The suspect is described as a local male, about 5-foot-10, 125-130 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. He was wearing a yellow T-shirt, police say.
The assault victim declined treatment for his injuries.
Police ask anyone with information about this case to call the Police Department’s non-emergency line at 935-3311.
