KAHALU’U BAY – A plan to create a 306-unit multiple family residential development just mauka of the popular Kahalu’u Bay goes before the Leeward Planning Commission this week.
Ocean Villas at Kahalu’u Bay LLC is seeking a Special Management Area Use Permit for the project, which already faces opposition from the public.
When commissioners last met on March 17, one resident delivered testimony in opposition to the project. The Ocean Villas SMA permit was originally on the agenda for that day, but was held over to the upcoming April meeting. Commissioners allowed testimony nonetheless.
