PAHOA, Hawaii – There could be two new libraries coming to the Puna region.
Puna State Senator Russell Ruderman told the crowd assembled at Monday evening’s town hall in Pahoa that the state library system, in consideration of where in Puna to place the new regional library, may build two facilities instead of one.
Ruderman was recently named legislator of the year by the Friends of the Library of Hawai’i for his role in securing $800,000 for a feasibility study for a Puna district Regional Library in 2014.
