HILO, Hawaii – Aloha Island Mart and Shell fueling station in Hilo – located on Kinoole Street across from the Waiakeawaena Elementary School – begins a three day celebration of grand opening festivities today. From now to October 24, customers “will enjoy giveaways, in-store specials and sweepstakes prizes, including $50 Shell gas cards and a 55” LED HDTV”, Aloha Petroleum, Ltd says, to mark the store’s $1.8 million renovation.
Aloha Petroleum just finished a big renovation at the location. The Aloha Island Mart now fits the company’s new design and image program, saying that “great care was taken to develop a store interior layout and design that was engaging to customers, aesthetically pleasing and efficient for store operations.” The company installed a new Shell fuel canopy and upgraded its fuel dispensers and underground tanks.
Other updated store features include new display cases that showcase a wide variety of fresh and healthy food and a Fusion fountain machine, which adds “shots” to the mix with the selected product. Aloha Island Mart also makes fresh hot foods, including fried chicken, potato wedges and musubi, on premises.
“Our Waiakea convenience store and fueling station have been completely overhauled to better serve our customers,” said Richard Parry, Aloha Petroleum president and CEO, in a media release. “We made a significant investment in the community and appreciate our customers’ patience during the renovation. We look forward to welcoming them back in grand style.”
