UMAUMA, Hawaii – Police have ordered an autopsy be performed on a body found in Umauma Stream on Monday, June 1st.
In response to an 11:28 a.m. call reporting a body in the stream, North Hilo District officers found the partially submerged body of a woman. Hawaii County Police
Police have not yet made positive identification on the body, which was extricated from the stream by Fire Department personnel.
Police say the autopsy will help determine the exact cause of death.
