Charter School will teach classes at Discovery Harbour Golf Clubhouse

HILO – Ka’u Learning Academy won the recommendation of the Windward Planning Commission last week. The school plans to begin teaching classes at Discovery Harbour July 29 for the 2015-2016 school year.

As a condition, alcohol must be removed from the clubhouse and the bar at Gilligan’s Café must be terminated. School operators must also install a fire alarm.
