(Big Island Video News) HILO, Hawaii – Before the Hawaii County Council voted to approve $20 million dollars to repair, restore, and rebuild infrastructure related to the June 27th lava flow, Puna councilmember Greggor Ilagan questioned the county’s newly appointed director of finance, Deanna Sako, if the money can be used to help Puna’s privately maintained roads. The emergency routes traverse numerous private subdivisions before filtering back onto Highway 130.
