Democrats running for three of the four state senate seats on Hawaii Island won big Tuesday night. Having already emerged victorious from more competitive primary races, incumbent Senator Gil Kahele will serve Hilo for another term, defeating Libertarian Gregory Arianof, while former State Senator Lorraine Rodero Inouye handily defeated her Libertarian opponent, Alain Schiller. Heavily favored incumbent Democratic Senator Josh Green, who serves West Hawaii, defeated Libertarian Michael Last.
