- The effects of Hurricane Ana could be seen on Friday afternoon at Puna’s popular surf spot, Pohoiki. The National Weather Service says surf along the Ka’u and southeast facing coast of the Puna districts will be 10 to 20 feet overnight. The surf will remain elevated through Saturday morning before starting to subside. Elevated surf up to 12 ft is possible along the Kona coast on Saturday.
