Kenneth Fischer OD
Fischer has been a practicing optometrist in Waimea since 1974. Originally from New York, he obtained both his bachelor’s degree and his medical degree from Pacific University. Fischer has been active in many community organizations and causes, including previously serving several years on the Parker School board of directors.
Brian Kubo DDS
Born and raised in Honolulu, Kubo graduated from ‘Iolani School and received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Hawai‘i, Manoa and his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Washington. He also completed a year-long general practice residency at The Queen’s Medical Center in Honolulu before opening his dental practice in Waimea in 1993. Brian is a member of the Hawai‘i County Dental Society, the Hawai‘i Dental Association, The American Dental Association, and the Academy of General Dentistry. He is also a Fellow of the Academy of Dentistry International and a charter member of the Hawai‘i Terry Tanaka Study Group, Hawai‘i Implant Study Group and the Hawai‘i Interactive Peer Practicum. He volunteers his time and services at such events as the North Hawai‘i Community Hospital’s Senior Health Fair and numerous pre-school and elementary school dental education programs. He is a member of the First Baptist Church of Waimea, and has been involved with various youth sports organizations.
Ethan Tweedie
Tweedie, a 1985 graduate of Parker School, is a professional photographer and owner of Ethan Tweedie Photography in Waimea specializing in luxury real estate/architectural, commercial, and fine art landscape photography. He holds his bachelor’s degree from University of Hawai‘i, Manoa, and also studied at the Texas School of Photography. He turned to a career in professional photography after experience in the healthcare/pharmaceutical and finance industries. He is a member of the Professional Photographers of America (PPA) and the American Society of Media Photographers (ASMP) and his fine art prints are represented at several local galleries. Tweedie is also a board member of the Waimea Community Association’s Planning Design Review Committee.
Ava Williams, CFA
Raised on the Big Island and a graduate of Hawai‘i Preparatory Academy, Williams attended University of Puget Sound where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and a Bachelor of Arts degree in both Business Administration and English Writing. She enjoyed a more than 20-year career in the investment management industry and has earned the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation. She worked at a San Francisco-based investment consulting firm, participated in a start-up, and eventually focused on product development for various Boston-based firms. Most recently, she directed Global Product Development at State Street Global Advisors (SSgA). Williams has been a member of Parker School’s Investment Committee since 2010.
