UPDATE: The Department of Water supply reports the water main break that occurred near Konawaena Elementary School earlier this evening is now repaired. At this time, water service is restored for all customers in the affected area.

KONA, Hawaii: A water main break near Konawaena Elementery School has left some residents with little to no water pressure.
The Department of Water Supply reports in a message time stamped 7:20 p.m. HST:
At this time, customers located from Konawaena Elementary area southward to Keopuka Heights may have little to no water pressure. Water supply repair crews are on site and isolating the repair area to affect as few customers as possible. At this time, this repair may take up to four (4) hours to complete.
Customers from the Konawaena area to Haleki‘i are advised to restrict water use to essential use only, says the water department.
The Department of Water Supply says for those who need additional information or have emergency needs, please call 961-8790.
