Police still trying to solve May 30 burglary, fire at Reliance Water Tank building

KEAAU, Hawaii: Big Island police are renewing their request for the public’s help in identifying possible suspects in a burglary and fire on May 30 here at the Shipman Industrial Park in Keaau.
At approximately 5:19 a.m. on May 30, police and Fire Department personnel responded to a report of a structure fire on Kipimana Street, and found this building occupied by Reliance Water Tanks fully engulfed in flames.
Investigation revealed that the front gate chain was severed to gain entrance to the premises. Police say one or more suspects entered the building from the rear by cutting a hole in the wall and then removed a flatbed pickup truck and some heavy equipment.
The incident is being investigated as arson and burglary.
