Kukuihaele, Hawaii: A 3.0 magnitude earthquake centered on Kukuihaele, or 8 miles west northwest of Honokaa, gave the Big Island of Hawaii a minor shake on Tuesday.
Only a handful of folks from Waimea logged on to the USGS website to report the temblor, reporting only weak shaking.
Initial data shows the earthquake struck about 22 miles below the surface of the island.
