It was a good sized crowd strumming away on the ukulele at the Queen Emma Community Center at Christ Church Episcopal in Kealakekua on Saturday.
For the second time this month, Keoki Kahumoku and The Center for Hawaiian Music Studies led a group of local musicians as a benefit for victims of the tsunami in Japan.
Ukulele players from beginner to advanced were invited to bring their instrument and participate in the jam – while donations to aid relief efforts in Japan were accepted throughout the day .
Organizers say we can even expect a third benefit to be held in Honokaa in the near future.
