Big Island police are asking for the public’s help in providing information after a cow was shot and partially butchered in Ookala.
The theft occurred back on February 19. Officers responded to a report of a slaughtered cow at Ookala Dairy off Route 19 near the 31-mile marker. It was reported that a 2-year-old heifer had been shot and that part of its hindquarters had been removed.
Police ask that anyone with information on this incident call Officer Ryan Domingo at 935-3311.
Tipsters who prefer to remain anonymous may call Crime Stoppers at 961-8300 in Hilo or 329-8181 in Kona.
