An update from the ongoing Hamakua CDP process: At a recent meeting in Laupahoehoe, the Steering Committee voted to adopt a Values and Vision Statement that will be used to guide the planning process.
A collection of the thorough Progress Reports for the plan’s 10 Strategy Areas has also been made available. These Strategy Areas include: Agricultural Strategies, Community-Managed & Public Access, Town Revitalization, Cane Road & Industrial Areas, Watershed Partnership & Forestry, Waipi’o Valley Wahi Pana, and Sea Cliff Setback, among others.
The next Steering Committee meeting will be held Tuesday April 5 in the Papa‘ikou Community Center, starting at 5 p.m.
