Tonight, residents and property owners of the Royal Hawaiian Estates will meet at 7 p.m. at the Cooper Center for the subdivision association’s annual meeting.
The association was reorganized just a year ago.
One of the topics that sources say will be at the forefront of discussion will be the recent cases of drive-by shootings in the neighborhood.
Police confirmed that two shootings took place in the neighborhood on the night of December 21st. Police responded to an 11 p.m call on that Tuesday night, and discovered that two houses on Mokuna Street appeared to have been hit with gunfire.
On the Volcano Neighborhood Watchwebsite, photos of the bulletholes show where the 9mm fragments entered the home, penetrating furniture and the wall inside.
No one was injured from the shooting, and police have not determined a motive.
