Candidates vying to be the next Governor of Hawaii gathered at the Waimea School Cafeteria on Thursday (Aug. 12) to participate in the 22nd North Hawaii Non-Partisan Candidate Forum.
Present to debate the issues: Neil Abercrombie (Democrat), John Carroll (Republican), Tony Clapes (Non-Partisan), Daniel Cunningham (Free Energy Party), and Van Tanabe (Democrat)
Candidates Mufi Hannemann (Democrat) and Duke Aiona (Republican) were among those not present for the forum.
The forum was moderated by newswoman Sherry Bracken of LAVA FM / KKOA’s “Island Issues” & KHPR.
