58 year old San Jose man released after arrest

A fall from a Kona hotel balcony has claimed the life of an adult female on Saturday night, and the incident is being investigated as a murder case by the Hawaii Police Department.
At 10:17 p.m. on March 20, patrol officers responded to a report that a woman had fallen from her second floor room at a hotel in Kailua-Kona onto the rocks below her balcony and was fatally injured. Police have identified the woman but are withholding her name pending notification of next of kin.
Police arrested 58-year-old William Brill of San Jose, California, after learning there were reports made by other hotel guests to hotel security personnel of a heated argument coming from the room occupied by Brill and the woman prior to her fall.
An autopsy has been scheduled to determine the exact cause of death. Brill is being detained at the Kona police cellblock while detectives with the Area II Criminal Investigations Section continue the investigation.

The Hawaii Police Department has identified the woman who was fatally injured as 52-year-old Karen Marie Celaya of San Jose, California.
William Brill, 58, also of San Jose, remains in police custody on suspicion of murder as detectives from the Area II Criminal Investigations Section continue the investigation.
UPDATE (3/22/2010 – 10:24 p.m.)
Police now say that an autopsy conducted Monday afternoon (March 22) has determined that 52-year-old Karen Marie Celaya of San Jose, California, died from multiple traumatic injury due to a fall from height.
After conferring with Hawaii County prosecutors, detectives released 58-year-old William Brill of San Jose, California, from police custody pending further investigation.
