Keep an eye out for local radio personality Tommy “Kahikina” Ching at a KTA store near you in the coming weeks.
Its once again time for Kahikina’s Annual Feed-A-Thon to benefit the Hawaii Island Food Basket. We caught up with the KHBC and KONA FM radio host outside the Waikoloa KTA store, where the community was generously donating what they could for the cause.
As Kahikina himself explains in this video, for ten days in a row and ten hours per day, the local broadcasting celebrity will be accepting donations of money or canned goods on behalf of the Food Basket.
Schedule:
February 10 & 11 – Kailua-Kona KTA
February 12 & 13 – Waikoloa Village Market
February 14 & 15 – Waimea KTA
February 16 & 17 – Puainako KTA
February 18 & 19 – Keauhou KTA.
Over the years, the drive has collected almost 283,000 pounds of food for Big Island’s needy families.
