Waiakea rules Division I boys basketball as the BIIF season winds down, and thier victory over Divison II leading St. Jospeh on Tuesday night virtually cemented thier position at the top.
Waiakea dominated in the first half, leading by 19 points at one point. St. Joseph battled back to within two points in the final minutes of the game, but ultimatley fell short in the quest to upset the Warriors.
Both teams will be considered favorites in thier respective divisions (Waiakiea 8-3, St. Joseph 9-3) heading into the finals.
