Hilo, Hawaii
A video featuring a cute and somewhat pushy cat, who apparently invites himself in to a Hilo hotel room whenever he sees fit, is gaining popularity on YouTube.
According to vlogger Zack Scott, the cat’s name is Rubble, and he enjoys unannounced visits at the Dolphin Bay Hotel.
Scott, who produces and posts a number of humorous videos for a large internet audience (his Rubble the Hotel Cat was uploaded on December 1 and has already been seen over 5,500 times) encountered the feline while visiting the Big Island recently.
Scott reports there is more than one cat making a home in the area. He also reports – and demonstrates – that the otherwise cuddly animal is “a very nice cat… until he bites.”
A side note to Scott’s video: In the info portion of the upload, he mentions, “If you listen closely, you can hear lots of frog noises in the background” Another visitor meets the invasive coqui frogs that now populate the Big Island.
