The man who robbed a Waimea pharmacy on November 9 has been caught on camera, and Big Island Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying him.
Police say the man in camouflage clothing was armed with a handgun when he entered the pharmacy off Kawaihae Road and demanded Fentanyl and Oxycontin. He then fled the area on foot carrying a camouflage backpack and headed south into Waimea Nature Park.
The suspect is described as tan, between 5-foot-7 and 5-foot-10 with a slim-to-medium build and a heavy Pidgin accent. Images captured on the pharmacy’s surveillance cameras show the suspect in action.
Police caution the public not to take either of the stolen narcotics, as the result could be fatal.
