December 13, 2008 – Honokaa, Hawaii
On Friday, the Honokaa High School Student Body Government hosted a community Christmas Parade through town.
The parade, which started at 4:30 pm as the sun began to set behind the mountain, was relatively short compared to other island holiday parades, but it was big on youthful enthusiasm. Students and teachers dressed up in holiday outfits, marched with school banners, and keiki dove for candy as it flew through the air.
After the parade, a mini fair was held at the school, featuring games, entertainment, and of course, Santa Claus.
