The rain could not halt the holiday march down Alii Drive in Kailua-Kona Saturday evening.
Hundreds lined the famous resort roadway, umbrellas in hand, to witness the Kona Christmas parade. Lights, floats, animals, and local dignitaries were a part of the massive procession from Kona Kekuaokalani Gym to Coconut Marketplace. Organizers say there were at least 62 entries.
Aunty Fanny Au Hoy of Hulihee Palace was this year’s grand marshal in recognition of her dedication and service to the Kona community.
