(BIVN) – The Hawaii County Police Department celebrated the graduation of its 87th recruit class on Wednesday. Police, county officials, and family members gathered in the Crown Room of the Grand Naniloa Hotel to witness the badge pinning ceremony and reaffirmation of oath.
Speakers included Mayor Harry Kim, Police Commissioner Peter Hendricks, and keynote speaker Dr. Christian Kimo Alameda. Recruit class president Spencer Thomas also spoke.
