(BIVN) – Officials on Tuesday provided their weekly update on the government response to the eruption in the lower East Rift Zone of Kilauea, as residents impacted by the volcano gathered at the Pahoa High School cafeteria.
The meeting included comments from Hawaii County Managing Director Wil Okabe, an update by Research & Development director Diane Ley on the effort to find a lava viewing area, and info on evacuation routes by Public Works Director Allan Simeon.
