(BIVN) – The IRONMAN World Championship has released what it considers to be the “top overall images” from Kona on Saturday.
Some of the images – which capture the exhausting 2.4 mile ocean swim, 112-mile bike, and 26.2-mile run – have already appeared in our coverage. Patrick Lange of Germany was crowned the 2017 IRONMAN World Champion, after he crossed the finished line in 8:01.39, setting a new course record. Daniela Ryf of Switzerland won her third IRONMAN women’s title in 8:50.47.
The race continued into the night, until Catherine Beryl Wilson of Australia became the last finisher of the race.
