HONOLULU, Hawaii – Charles Dudoit spoke before the Board of Land and Natural Resources on Friday, and during his testimony he explained the deep emotions that overwhelmed him on Mauna Kea.
On June 24th, the large crowd blocking the Thirty Meter Telescope at the Visitor Center crosswalk witnessed a deeply distraught Dudoit disrobe in the middle of the Mauna Kea Access Road. Dudoit appeared ready put his life on the line before he was consoled by others and guided to the side of the road.
The moment was captured by media but remained unexplained until Dudoit gave his testimony to the BLNR.
