HILO, Hawaii – $400,000 for important road projects identified in the Puna Community Development Plan will be added to the Capital Budget.
The money would be used to plan, design, or construct projects described in the Puna CDP.
But Puna’s councilman Greggor Ilagan gave pause on the vote, mainly because the list of projects included a controversial road project – the Puna Makai Alternate Route – that would cut through Hawaiian Paradise Park.
